Shaun turned 11 today and I am catching up on blogging now that kids are in bed. He earned his arrow of light award at the last pack meeting, and now he is officially old enough to be a boy scout. We are proud of his accomplishments and he is excited. He got to go on a hike today and they are making sand boards (kind of like snow boards to be used on a sand dune) and they will go on a campout where they will use them in a few weeks. The scout program has been so great for the boys and has enhanced our homeschool as well. We have great, dedicated leaders that really work hard for the boys. I am hopeful and optimistic that we will find the same where we move, and we plan on being involved in scouts wherever we land. It is a good program to help them become good men and prepare to hold the priesthood and serve others.

Kendall is the Scoutmaster in our ward and it has totally opened my eyes to this world that I knew nothing about. It's still a while before Talmage will be ready, but I agree it is a great program!
