On the day Michaela was born, I had been having contractions, but I had had false labor quite often before so I didn't think that much of it. Mike decided to come home early from work anyway, and we took advantage of the opportunity to have a date. We went window shopping and while we were out, things got more intense and we decided to come home early and fill the birthing tub. The kids all wanted to be there for her birth, and we talked a lot about what they could expect before hand, but even so I was surprised at how well they all did. They were all very quiet and calm.
Alaina kept coming in and helping Mike rub my back, and giving me hugs. I was most worried about how she would do, but she did great.
Our sweet girl was born at 8:32, just 3 and a half hours after we came home from our date. Everything went really well. She was so beautiful with all her dark hair!
Everyone was so happy to meet her!
