My Mom felt bad for us that we wouldn't have a white Christmas in Texas (at least that is what everyone said, we actually did have a White Christmas - it has been a weird weather year!), so she sent this awesome InstaSnow from Steve Spangler Science. It's a polymer that expands when you get it wet. It was cool to watch it grow and play with it - it feels just like snow - it is even cold! I prefer it to real snow because I don't have to wash a bunch of muddy gloves and snowboot footprints and deal with shivering kids! Lots of fun.
