I love our Christmas tree. It doesn't have much of a theme and it certainly isn't color coordinated but it is a wonderful reminder of past years and family events. In my family we have a traditon of getting or making a new ornament each year for each family member, something personal that helps us remember something that happened that year, or something fun about the person. It is kind of like a scrapbook in 3D. This year Shaun got an ornament with a knight to remind him of his Knights of Freedom experience, Jacob, Jeremy, and Ethan got snowmen in Mexican attire singing Feliz Navidad to remind them of our cruise, and Alaina got a somewhat mischevious-looking angel that I think looks like her. I have all my ornaments from when I was little, too, and Mike and I get one for ourselves each year. His first gift to me was a christmas ornament, (my engagement ring was the second one - we got engaged just before Christmas) so that is extra special to me.
