Texas Christmas

We only took stockings with us to Utah, so we got to have a second Christmas when we got home. Since we got back Saturday night, we decided to wait until after church on Sunday. The kids all got back in their PJs so it would be more like Christmas morning (or just to be comfy). We were all very grateful for the gifts we received and the time together.

The kids drew each other's names this year and several of them chose to make their gifts to each other. Jacob worked hard to make a fun board game for Alaina, and she was very grateful for it.
Jeremy also made his gift, which was a doll for Michaela. I will have to post a picture of that sometime. He did a lot of work on it, even though I did help him. It turned out cute. She wasn't old enough to play with it yet but she is starting to grab things now (yes, I am posting nearly 2 months after the fact) so she is enjoying it. It was sweet to see them so excited to give their gifts to each other, and even though Christmas was simpler this year than some others, they all were happy with what they got and excited to share with each other. It was a sweet Christmas.

Two Christmas mornings - how fun! I love that they all got in their pj's to open their presents. Definitely a must:) It seems like the homemade gifts are the ones that kids get most excited about. It is so fun to watch both the giver and the receiver when they are exchanged.

I love seeing all your furniture. It makes me feel like I am sitting at home in your living room in Cedar. Ah, the good ol' days.
