For Christmas, we got to take our first trip to Utah since we moved to Texas. It was a long drive with a baby, but everyone was better than expected in the car, and we made it safely there and back. It was great to see our families again - we got to see every living Grandparent, Aunt, Uncle and Cousin on both sides, except one (JT, we missed you!). It was so fun to meet the cute little nephews that were born after we moved. Mike's parents had just gotten home from a church mission, and they just left again on another mission (they loved the first one!), so it was the one time we could all be together. We got to go caroling (my family's tradition), have family parties and games, cousin sleepovers, eat lots of food, and even see some snow. We celebrated Alaina's birthday while we were there, and Michaela was blessed with lots of loved ones surrounding her in the circle. We stayed for 10 days and drove for 4 total, and by the end of it we were glad to be home in Texas, but we are already talking about when we get to go back. There is never enough time to spend with the ones we love. Thank goodness for eternity. The other night one of the kids said, 'When Jesus comes again, I want all of us to live near Grandmas and Grandpas.' That sounds like a wonderful plan.

Such fun pictures. I realized as I was looking at these pictures that I haven't seen your family for a long time. Thanks for sharing the pictures!
What a fun trip! That's fun that you got to celebrate Christmas, a birthday and a baby blessing while you were there. You really packed in the fun! That was fun to see a picture of your siblings. You can tell you're all related and you look VERY similar to a few of them. I love all the cousin pictures too. So fun!
