Reading together

One of the joys of life I think is reading together as a family, or just reading to a little one on your lap. There's something more special about it than watching a movie together, something old fashioned and sweet. It is fun to see Shaun and Jacob reading to their siblings, too. Alaina loves reading 'Tories' with whoever will lend her their lap and let her turn the page whenever she wants (she gets impatient sometimes to see the next picture). I have neglected reading to the kids as much as I usually do lately, and I'm looking forward to getting back in the habit with the start of homeschool again.

Thanks for these great updates Alysia! It's so nice to see your little ones and know your family is doing well.

I am big into reading with my kids as well. I used to do it so much more than I do now. Why does life have to get so crazy?! Everyone says to simplify. But how do you do that when you already feel as if you're down to the bare minimum and it's still too much. i guess we could cut out bathing or going to school. What do you think? :)
